From my past, I undoubtedly brought passion, rigour and the need for pure solitude. So, do understand that, for me, compiling a biography is not easy… because, contrary to what the abbreviation suggests, it is never a natural process. Exhibitions are a necessary sacrifice. I’d much rather contemplate the horizon than gaze at vertically aligned paintings.
There is not a single note of snobbery behind all this. My handshake along with my studio door are always wide open to each one of you. And if my honesty touches you, let’s share it. Painting is a simple journey. I can offer my humble experience as evidence. The image always belongs to the beholder.

I used to be a helicopter pilot.
My works were a succession of landscapes seen from the air, a geometric jumble of textures and colours, a cloud of twinkling dust, a pictorial map which belonged solely to me.
After coming back down to earth, the paintbrush replaced the joystick and passion replaced the joyful whistling of the turbine. From this ground-level flight, I build up shapes, I lift pigments, I bring light to my new territories… aware that sometimes others may have trodden there before me.
